The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced the eligibility criteria for candidates participating in the Stray Vacancy Round of NEET PG 2024 counselling. Additionally, as per the revised NEET PG counselling schedule, the choice filling and locking process will be held from February 13 to 16, 2025.
Stray Vacancy Round Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who meet the following
conditions are eligible to participate in the Stray Vacancy Round for NEET PG 2024 counselling:
- Eligible Candidates:

Candidates not holding any seats under both the
All-India Quota (AIQ) or State Quota are eligible.
- Ineligible Candidates:
- Candidates
who did not join their allotted seats in Round 3 of MCC
counselling are not eligible for the Stray Vacancy Round.
- Candidates
who have joined State Quota seats in previous counselling rounds are also
not allowed to participate.
However, candidates who were
marked as "Not Reported" in Round 3 of MCC counselling are
eligible to participate in state PG counselling.

Security Deposits and Penalties
Candidates who fail to fill the
seats allotted in the Stray Vacancy Round will:
- Forfeit their security deposit.
- Be disqualified from applying for the NEET exam
the following year.
Moreover, the data of candidates
who joined seats in Round 3 will be shared with state counselling
authorities, and such candidates will be barred from participating in future
state quota counselling rounds.
