Specialization after MBBS in India

 

Some of the aspirants after MBBS start practising medicine but others choose to specialise in a particular specialisation.

DNB – DNB Counselling as the name suggests is the counselling conducted for admission to the Diplomate of National Board courses post MBBS diploma courses. By clearing the DNB exam, you can pursue medical or surgical super specializations courses like Cardiac Anaesthesia, Neurology and Cardiology. Furthermore, Neonatology also falls under Medical Super Specializations. Besides courses like Neurosurgery, Paediatric Surgery, and Plastic Surgery fall under Surgical Super Specializations. After your MBBS as a 5.5-year course, you can pursue some of these Super Specializations directly.
